St Luke's Midnight Walk
17th June 2007

At Midnight on the 17th June 2007 1,210 ladies walked 13.5 Miles from Reaseheath College in Nantwich, to Bannatyne's Gym in Crew - and then back again! All in the aid of St Luke's Hospice. The night was filled with much love and emotion and to witness over 1200 ladies uniting in one to raise money was an unbelievable sight.

This was the 3rd Walk and it was organized right down to the very last detail. From the cooks in the kitchen keeping the girls going with the bacon sandwiches, right through to the 2 gentlemen at the back of the walk keeping the ladies safe.

Cheshire FM broadcast 7 hours of overnight live broadcasting to cover the event. We were live from 10pm right the way through to 5am sunday morning. It was a truly memorable night. Lots of ladies called into the studio on the walk to let us know how they were getting on. David Duffy anchored the studio side whilst Dave, Laura, Cliff and Ellie were on the ground down at Reaseheath. Some even managed to hitch a ride to bannatyne's to catch the girls completing half of the walk.

On return back to Reaseheath the fastest time was just short of 3 hours. The amount of money raised on the night was £201,100.84. We are very much looking forward to working with ST Luke's for the 2008 walk!
